Or are you looking to try out that luxurious bed and breakfast a few hours from where you live? You don't have to fly half way across the world for it to be a honeymoon. Try looking right around where you live. You'll be surprised at what is available in your neck of the woods. Not only is that idea budget-friendly, but the staff will be sure to go that extra mile to make your stay memorable, especially if your local.

• Search for deals! - With so many hotels, airlines, cruise ships and resorts battling one another for your business, you'll be sure to find a deal that is both pleasing for you and your budget. Search online and don't be afraid to ask what extras can be thrown in for free. Spread the news that you are newlyweds and many companies and their staff will be sure to make you both feel extra special either by upgrading you or by extending free services to you.
